The Bali Baby Stretch wraps are also nice when performing reaching tasks because of the way the wrap moves with the body like a t-shirt.
The Wrapsody (formerly Gypsy Mama) Bali Baby Stretch wraps are designed for long-term carrying of children over 35 pounds (only carry large children if you are both comfortable with it – as with any other lifting task, your muscles need to be up for the job to avoid injury). The Bali Baby Stretch wrap is comfortable when carrying two children in the same wrap, as the stretch allows both children to move comfortably without having the wrap pull and dig.
The Bali Baby Stretch wraps are made from 100% cotton.
Wrap sizing can be a bit confusing – not only do you need to factor in your size and shape, but you need to decide how much versatility you want from your wrap. Some people like to order a few different sizes, using them for different purposes. Some people prefer a shorter wrap, with less fabric to play with, and they don’t mind having fewer tying options. Others like a one-size-does all carrier, ordering the wrap that will offer them the most options and versatility. The sizing chart below applies to woven wraps and will give you an idea of what sizing will meet your needs. It is only an approximation. Many like a longer size even if they fall into a smaller size on the chart. This is the sizing you will need to do the greatest variety of carries, including nursing in the wrap cross carry. You can still do a full range of carries, and the gauze is so light and airy that it is easy to wrap around your waist and tuck into the waistband of your carrier.
All our Wrapsody/Gypsy Mama wraps are 4.6m.

Caring for your Wrapsody (Gypsy Mama)
The first time you wash your Bali Baby Stretch wrap, please wash separately from other clothes. Although the fabrics are boiled after the batiking process is complete and the dyes are set, occasionally some unbonded dye remains in the fabric fibers. You do not need to “set” the dye – you only need to rinse out the excess. This is especially likely if your wrap is a deep color such as turquoise or red. To clean the excess dye from your wrap, simply rinse in warm water several times until the water runs clear. You may wish to add salt to the water in order to speed this process.
The Bali Baby Stretch wraps are made of knit cotton jersey that becomes stretched out during the batiking process. This is what gives the wraps their unique stretch properties, but it can also leave them a bit “flat” sometimes. The Gypsy Mama finds that machine washing them in warm (not hot!) water and machine-drying on medium heat can help “plump” them a bit. They can of course be hand-washed and hung to dry as well.
If you decide to machine-wash your Bali Baby Stretch wrap, use a gentle setting and a mild detergent. If your machine is a top-loading machine with an agitator, secure your wrap in a pillowcase or mesh sweater bag before washing. This will keep the fabric from wrapping tightly around the agitator and becoming strained, which would cause premature wear or even damage in your fabric. If you are machine drying, do so separately from other clothing to avoid tangling.
